Please be advised that several storm systems are approaching Hawaii and expected to hit landfall on Friday, 08/08/14. Hurricane Iselle and Tropical Storm Julio are expected to create localized flooding and high winds. At this time, the US Coast Guard has planned to close the Port of Honolulu Thursday night at 6:00 pm, requiring all vessels over 300 gross tons to evacuate the harbor and seek safe shelter prior to the storm’s impact. This will definitely affect cargo availability over the next few days as Matson will be limiting container operations in order to ensure a priority on safety.
