Matson has notified us of a delay in the departure of the vessel scheduled to depart Long Beach tomorrow, Wednesday. The vessel has a mechanical problem with a turbo charger that will result in a delay of approximately 12 hours. We will expedite all shipments upon arrival. However, most deliveries that would normally be accomplished on Monday in Honolulu will not take place until Tuesday. We are expecting the vessel to make barge connections to the neighbor islands but there could be delays on these shipments as well. Please contact your local customer service or sales person if you have some critical concerns.
Matson has also notified us of a reduction in the ocean fuel surcharge. Effective July 15, the fuel surcharge will be reduced 3 percentage points to 39%. We welcome this savings and will pass on the reduction on our invoices.
