As a result of high fuel prices and other energy related costs, Aloha Freight Forwarder’s primary steamship line partner is raising the ocean fuel surcharge by 3% from 39.5% to 42.5% for Hawaii service, effective June 08, 2014. This is the second increase over the course of the last year, after 3 consecutive FSC decreases during the same time period. The steamship lines prices represent a major part of our operating cost, so Aloha Freight Forwarders will be passing through this cost for all shipments beginning on June 08, 2014.
